About Nikhil Raghuwanshi

I'm a final-year B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) student at Nutan College of Engineering and Research, Pune. I like problems where AI or software meets a real person: a lawyer working through a long judgment, a mill owner tracking who owes what, an institute running admissions and exams.

I started with Java, building a desktop clinic system during my internship at MRND Lab, then moved into machine learning (the 300-hour freeCodeCamp ML certification and NPTEL from IIT Madras) and NLP. Today I work across the stack, from fine-tuning transformers in Python to shipping Next.js and Express apps with secure auth and MongoDB. Off the keyboard, I anchor college events and enjoy public speaking.

AI for Legal Case Outcome Prediction: InLegalBERT + IPC→BNS translation

A legal decision-support system that reads Indian court judgments, predicts the appellate outcome with fine-tuned InLegalBERT, and translates old IPC sections to the new BNS code.

  • Developed and implemented key features for a desktop application using Java and Swing, improving the user workflow.

  • Main anchor for Aagaz 2k25, the annual cultural festival, for an audience of 500+.

  • Team leader for a Shark Tank-style competition (team of 4): registrations, judging and logistics. Also anchored the departmental Teachers' Day.
